Meet our member of the month for October, 2008, Aileen Moore.
Aileen Hill Moore was born 15 miles from Clovis, New Mexico on July 10, 1918.
Aileen attended elementary school in Clovis, New Mexico and Amarillo, Texas.
Aileen graduated from Amarillo High School in (need to check on this). After graduation Aileen attended Hill Business University, no relation she said.
Aileen has had many secretarial jobs and among them are, working for an Oilfield Service Company in Oklahoma City, a Wholesale Distributor in Dallas, Texas and Kansas Board of Education in Topeka, Kansas. Out of all the jobs she has had she said that working for the Oilfield Service Company was the best because she worked for good people.
Aileen joined Village Christian Church in (have to look up) and has been on many committees over the years. She was also active in Disciples Women (formerly Christian Women’s Fellowship). Aileen said she has many hymns that she enjoys but her favorite is “Glory Be to the Father”.
Aileen lives at the Quail Ridge Assisted Living at 12401 Trail Oaks Drive, # 313, Oklahoma City. She moved there in 2004.
Aileen has 3 children, a son Dell and 2 daughters, Janis and Nancy. She has 6 grandchildren, Megan, Brian, Meredith, Lisa , Kebi and Mason. She also has 6 great-grandchildren with another on the way.
Aileen likes to eat at Jamil’s Steak House so of course her favorite food is going to be steak. She said she also like fudge and chocolate pie.
Aileen said that she has been to every state in the United States expect Alaska, and said that she really enjoyed Colorado.
I ask Aileen what she did for relaxation and she pointed to the television and said “I’m a T.V. fanatic!”.
When ask what is a less life has taught you, she reaplied, “Never tell a lie because it will came back to bite you!”
