Hi,
I'm Jim McGee, the music director for Village Christian Church for the last twenty one years.  I've just retired from a forty plus year career in school band directing and other music instruction.  During this time it has been my privilege to have served churches as a music/choir director for thirty four years, the last thirty one in Disciples of Christ churches in Oklahoma City.  I received a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Southern Arkansas University at Magnolia, Arkansas in 1962 and a Master of Music degree from Emporia State University at Emporia, Kansas in 1971.  Certification as an Elementary School Principal came in 1988 from the University of Oklahoma.

I have been a member of the Association of Disciples Musicians since 1978 and currently am a member of the planning council for our annual workshops.  My wife, Sue, and I were married in 1970 at Central Christian Church in Enid, Ok.  We have thoroughly enjoyed our association with Village Christian Church since 1985.  Our life with the church and choir has been a blessing.  If I can help you as music director of the church, please leave a message for me at the church, and I will contact you as soon as I can.
